Executable: ChuckieEgg-1.1-setup.exe
Here (at last) is Chuckie version 1.1, in all its glory. The changes from the previous release are:
Chuckie Egg is a classic game from the era of 8-bit home computers. It was one of the first platform games, and had fast animation, great gameplay and a few shocks for the players who reach the higher levels.
The game started out on the ZX Spectrum and was ported to many different systems. The version of Chuckie Egg available on this page is written for a PC running Windows and is based on the BBC Micro version of the game.
Previous version executable: chuckie-1.04.exe
Additional files:
Even if you haven't played before, its pretty easy to pick up - guide Farmer Harry around, collect a dozen (*) eggs per level, and avoid from the swans. On later levels Chuckie can fly out of her cage and attack the hero, so avoid her as well.
Press 'K' the first time you play to choose a set of keys to use. One unlisted key is 'P', to pause at any time.
You can change the screen size using the option in the 'View' menu, or press Alt-Enter to toggle full screen mode for a true nostalga trip.
(*)Thats a Chuckie Egg dozen, which varies in quantity.
I've stopped accepting new scores for the table. Here is a copy of the highest scores that were send in.

In addition the are several pages where you can play the Spectrum version of Chuckie inside a web browser, using various Java Spectrum emulators. See the Links section of the Professional Resource Kit for a list.
